Favorite Places & Spaces--San Antonio, TX

San Antonio
Please note that in San Antonio if the word "The" comes before something I more than likely will love it.  You'll see.

Restaurants
The Cove
What do a Restaurant, Beer Garden, Car Wash, Laundromat, Playground and Live Music Venue have in common?  They all are components of the fabulousness that is The Cove.  This place reminds me of an Austinite haven in the midst of SA.  Vegans, Vegetarians, Pescatarians and Carnivores (this kid) are welcome!  Additionally, its dog and kid friendly.  Try the Lisa Special or the Naked Bison Burger and indulge in some Vegan Carrot Cake for dessert.

Dough
The best pizza in town by far!

Houston Street Bistro
One of my favorite lunches in the City.

My favorite Indian food restaurant in the City

Bars
Me and The Esquire Coyote
The Esquire
The oldest bar on the Riverwalk coupled with the longest wooden bar in Texas.  Who could ask for more?  Couple that with amazing cocktails that involve egg whites, bar tenders in fedoras and vests and row upon row of booths.  A must see for any San Antonio visitor.

The Green Lantern
With no sign whatsoever save a few green lamps outside of the door, its easy to miss this Stone Oak meets New York bar.  Located underneath a restaurant named Cabo this is one of the rare places I can bring my girlfriends or my boyfriend.  Live music on weeknights.  Weekends get a bit crazy.

Parks and Museums
The City's newest Park boasts more than 300 acres.

The Japanese Sunken Gardens

The McNay

San Antonio Museum of Art

The Hausmann Millworks
